It's the Year of the Dragon! Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year! The Chinese new year starts on January 23 and lasts through February 9, 2013. The Chinese new year is determined by the lunar calendar. The new year is always between late January and mid February. The animal that represents that year is determined by the symbols of the western zodiac. The new year is named after one of the twelve animal astrology signs which are: the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster,dog and pig. Each sign has different character and qualities. It is believed that people adapt the qualities of the animal after with the year is named. The dragon symbolizes luck.
